Privacy
Short, honest, no legalese.

What we collect
Just your email address, plus a small amount of metadata about where
you subscribed from (the source tag
therenthacker-landing and a UTC timestamp). That's it.
No name. No phone. No IP address stored on this site. No profile.
Who handles your email
Our newsletter runs on Buttondown, a small independent newsletter platform. When you subscribe, the form on this page posts directly to Buttondown — they're the data processor, we're the publisher. Their privacy policy covers how your email is stored and protected on their end.
What we use it for
Delivering the weekly Bay Area House-Hack Report to your inbox. Not selling. Not renting. Not used for any other purpose.
One narrow exception: if we run ads on Meta or Reddit, a hashed (one-way, non-reversible) form of your email may be sent to those platforms solely to attribute your subscription back to the ad that brought you here. It's not used to target you, profile you, or build audiences for other advertisers. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
How long we keep it
For as long as you're subscribed. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it once and you're gone from the list. If you want your data removed entirely (not just the subscription paused), email us at support@khvdigital.com and we'll delete it from Buttondown within seven days.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which parts of the page work, and Meta Pixel and Reddit Pixel to measure the performance of any advertising we run on those platforms. All three load on page view and set cookies. When you submit the subscribe form, a hashed form of your email address may be sent to Meta and Reddit so they can attribute your subscription to the ad that brought you here. You can opt out via your browser's privacy settings or a tracker-blocking extension.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and the right to opt out of any further contact. Email support@khvdigital.com and we'll handle your request within seven days. No forms, no hoops.
Not investment advice
The newsletter itself is research, not a recommendation. Every number in every issue is a cautious estimate backed by documented comps and named growth catalysts. We show our assumptions and sensitivities so you can run your own due diligence. Nothing in the report is a recommendation to buy, sell, or borrow. Do your own homework.
